About This Video

Hello everyone, Technical Sahil here. In this video I installed FastPanel on an Ubuntu 22.04 server step-by-step, exactly the same way I do on a fresh VPS. FastPanel is a free hosting control panel (a solid alternative to cPanel/Plesk), and when I used it the first time it honestly felt more beginner-friendly—clean dashboard, less clutter, but all the useful options are there. I also showed you a quick demo view so you can understand what you’ll get: websites management, server resources, DNS, users, cron jobs, databases, backups, firewall, SSL, email, PHP settings, and IP management. Then I deployed a VPS (I used DigitalOcean in the video) and logged in as root via SSH. First I updated the server packages, installed wget (usually already present), and ran the FastPanel install command. I also explained the optional SELinux fix (mostly for CentOS-type systems) where you disable SELinux in the config and reboot—on Ubuntu I didn’t face that error, but I wanted you to be ready. After installation, I added DNS records, opened the panel URL (and fixed the weird URL spacing issue manually), logged in with the default FastPanel username, issued the free license by creating an account, and then created a website. Finally, I edited the default index files to confirm the site is serving correctly and PHP is executing—so you can confidently upload your own HTML/PHP project after that.
