Hello everyone, Technical Sahil here. In this video I show you, step-by-step, how to install and configure Mailcow mail server on Ubuntu 22.04 using Docker. I start with the real prerequisites that actually matter for inbox delivery: minimum 6GB RAM, a domain, and most importantly a VPS/dedicated server where Port 25 is open and the IP reputation is clean. I also explain why choosing a clean IP provider is non-negotiable—because blacklisted IPs (Spamhaus/UCEProtect) will ruin Gmail/Outlook inboxing no matter how perfect your setup is. Then I walk you through the full setup: updating packages, installing CA certificates and Docker, installing Docker Compose, cloning the official Mailcow repo, generating the config with your FQDN and timezone, pulling images, and starting Mailcow services until everything turns green. After that, I secure the server basics by checking UFW and allowing the required mail ports. Finally, I configure Mailcow from the dashboard: add domain, create mailbox, and set up SPF, DMARC, and DKIM properly (with 2048-bit DKIM for better security). At the end, I test SMTP settings (587 + auth) and show you how to hit 10/10 and land in inbox when your DNS + IP reputation is correct.
