Apple just released the MacBook Neo, a new $599 MacBook aimed at students and everyday users. But is it actually powerful enough to last through college or creative work? In this video I break down the design, performance, and who the MacBook Neo is really for compared to the MacBook Air. ‣ MacBook Neo - https://amzn.to/4bdSZFq ‣ Content Creator Guide - https://pensight.com/x/techmeout/content-creator-guide 👋🏾 ☁ LET'S CHAT ‣ Instagram - http://instagram.com/techme0ut ‣ TikTok - https://tiktok.com/techme0ut ‣ Website: www.techmeoutnow.com ‣ TeamTMO Broadcast channel - https://ig.me/j/AbZwNBsOeXY4Y-Z1/ ‣ Business Inquiries - partnerships@techmeoutnow.com ❤️ ☁ SUPPORT THE CHANNEL ‣ Amazon Deals - https://amzn.to/2UXLt9q 🎥 ☁ GEAR I USE ‣ Camera Gear - https://amzn.to/400WviA ‣ MotionVFX Plug-ins I Use - motionvfx.sjv.io/Ryjgq7 ‣ Music - http://share.epidemicsound.com/techmeout ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ☁ B U S I N E S S I N Q U I R I E S : partnerships@techmeoutnow.com ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

About This Video

What is going on y’all? In this video I’m breaking down Apple’s brand new MacBook Neo, and I have to lead with the price: it starts at $599, which is the lowest entry price I’ve ever seen for a new MacBook. The whole reason I’m even looking at it this closely is because I’m trying to decide what to get my niece for college—MacBook Neo or MacBook Air—and I know a lot of y’all are in that same “student laptop” decision right now. I go over the design (because the colors are one-of-one… citrus is my favorite), the feel of the keyboard/trackpad, the 13-inch display, storage starting at 256GB, and the surprisingly good dual side-firing speakers. You get two USB‑C ports on the left, and you can run one external display, which is honestly enough for the type of user this is made for. I also call out what you don’t get versus the Air/Pro—like a backlit keyboard, True Tone, and Center Stage—but for most people, those aren’t dealbreakers. Where I get a little nervous is longevity. For writing, research, streaming, and casual creative work, the Neo is solid—even with a bunch of apps open. But if you’re deep into heavy timelines, tons of plugins, or robust coding setups, that’s when I’d steer you toward the Air or Pro. For my niece, I’m leaning Neo because it gives her the full Mac experience without paying for power she may never use.
