I walk through real examples, including a time I made a mistake patching production servers in the middle of the day using Microsoft SCCM/“SECM” and how that resulted in outages—because interviewers absolutely will ask about failure and mistakes. Then I cover the core technical topics helpdesk candidates should know: Windows basics, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP/IP addressing, onboarding users, basic backups, switches, software installs, and simple troubleshooting steps like ping/tracert.
