About This Video

Hey friends — in this quick video I unbox and test a compact 4x6 thermal label printer (the PL80/PL80E) that’s designed for shipping labels. I show you exactly what comes in the box (printer, starter labels, power cable, USB cable, manual, and a driver USB with a USB‑C adapter), then I walk through the basic setup on my desk. The big win here is the footprint: it’s genuinely small and feels perfect for eBay sellers, Etsy shops, or anyone shipping from a home office who just needs a dedicated label printer. I also demo printing straight from my iPhone over Bluetooth using the companion app. I connect to the printer, select the 4x6 paper size, and print a label image I made on my computer and sent to my phone. The print was insanely fast — it basically took a second — and it comes out as a clean, peel-and-stick shipping label. My main “watch out” is paper handling: there’s no built-in label holder, so rolls or stacks can get a little clunky on your desk. And on the Mac side, I ran into Bluetooth connectivity issues and didn’t install the included USB drivers (I don’t plug random USB drives into my computer), so if you’re buying specifically for Mac printing, you’ll want to do a bit of extra research.
