In this video, I’m reviewing the Happy Grinning Doggo tablet stand, and honestly I didn’t expect a “simple” stand to feel this solid. I unbox it, show what you get (manual, foam, and the stand), and then I test it with my iPad. The first thing I noticed is the dog-face design, but the real standout is how the rotating base clicks as you turn it, so it doesn’t feel loose or wobbly when you’re switching angles. I also talk about how it fits with an iPad case on. With my case, it didn’t fully sink into the little holders, so you may need to take your case off for the best fit. Once the case is off, it sits in there nicely, and the grip on the bottom and on the holder feels strong. The rotation takes a good amount of force, which is a good thing if you’re doing something like drawing—your tablet isn’t sliding around while you’re using it. My favorite part is how compact it gets. It folds down to about an inch thick and roughly 5 by 5, so it’s super easy to toss in a backpack for travel, and the aluminum build feels well-made with no rattling.
