In this quick CapCut tutorial, I show you exactly how to add video effects to your clips in just a few clicks. I’m using the desktop version of CapCut here, but the workflow is pretty similar on mobile too. I’m also working in the free version, so I point out an important detail: anytime you see that little purple diamond on an effect, it means it’s Pro-only and you’ll need a subscription to use it. I walk through where to find Effects, how to browse categories like Trending, and how to preview an effect just by hovering over it. Then I show you how to apply an effect by dragging and dropping it right onto the clip in your timeline. The best part is you can stretch the effect to cover the entire clip (or multiple clips), or trim it down so it only hits at the beginning for a quick pop. If you want your edits to feel more dynamic without doing anything complicated, this is one of the easiest upgrades you can make.
