About This Video

In this quick CapCut tutorial, I show you how I add animated text that makes a video feel a little extra poppy and polished—without getting complicated. I’m using the desktop version of CapCut here, but the steps are basically the same on mobile (you might just have to hunt around a bit for where things live). I already have a couple clips on my timeline, and the goal is to drop in text that emphasizes what I’m talking about—like calling out “links below” or a simple “subscribe” reminder. I start by clicking the Text button and heading into Text Templates (not just basic text overlays). From there, I jump into Trending so I can preview animations just by hovering over them. I’m using the free version, so I point out the little purple icons that mark Pro-only templates. Once I find a free template I like, I drag it onto the timeline, double-click to edit the words, then resize and reposition it so it’s not intrusive over the product. Finally, I add a second animated template near the end for a subscribe reminder, shrink it down, and place it neatly on the side. If you want to reuse these later, I show how to star them and find them again under Favorites.
