About This Video

Wazzzup, Carpies! In this Hong Kong vlog, I’m finally back (last time was 2009!) and we’re starting the adventure right after landing. We checked in (CTV Hotel/YMCA vibes), swapped some money, and felt that Hong Kong “lamig” right away—around 18°C/60°F. Coming from Seattle, kaya natin ’to… cold never bothered us. From the airport to figuring out the city, we did it the Carpio way: DIY, lakad, and on-the-spot decisions. First big mission: Victoria Peak! We took the MTR to Central, looked for the exit going to the Peak Tram, and yes—on the spot booking lang, no Klook, no prep. The Peak Tram ride was super tilted, then we explored Peak Tower, grabbed food (legit sarap), and even found an interactive “Old Hong Kong” antique-style area that we honestly enjoyed a lot. After that, we headed to Quarry Bay for the viral Monster Building (still a tourist spot, though some parts looked faded/repainting), then ended up in Mong Kok for shopping (hello GU, magnets, and pasalubong hunting) and a solid dinner—busog level—before doing a chill night walk in the city.
