About This Video

In this video I’m chatting through why I teach for both Whales English and Magic Ears, and why Magic Ears made sense for me as a second company. I already work with Whales, so I’m coming at this from a real “in the classroom” perspective rather than theory. I compare the overall feel of each platform, what the lessons are like, and the practical day-to-day differences that actually matter when you’re trying to build a reliable online ESL income. I also explain what I personally wanted from a second company: more flexibility, a different teaching style, and another stream of bookings so I’m not relying on just one set of peak hours. I’m really honest about why I’m happy to keep both—because they balance each other out nicely depending on your schedule, energy, and what kind of classes you enjoy teaching. If you’re considering applying, I do say in the video to email me first, because I’m genuinely happy to help you through the process and point you to the right resources.
