David Akwara is a global storyteller and award-winning filmmaker whose work blends creativity and culture to drive social and economic impact. His films explore economic development, human rights, legacy, and identity, giving voice to stories too often left untold. In 2022, H.E. President Yoweri Museveni invited him to the 3rd APRM Youth Symposium in Uganda, where his film The Rise was screened to national acclaim. As a keynote speaker and panelist, David has graced some of the world's most influential stages, from the UN ECOSOC Youth Forum in New York to the AfCFTA Youth Symposium, the African Philanthropy Assembly, UNESCO's Talking Across Generations on Education, and the 2025 Global Citizenship Education Forum in South Korea. His voice continues to shape global conversations on economy, culture, education, and youth inclusion, proving that storytelling, done well, can move the world.
