What can a necktie teach us about growing up? It all starts with a failed tutorial, one patient dad, and an ordinary skill. This talk explores how learning simple life skills from the people around us can build confidence, foster independence, and strengthen meaningful connections Gabriele is a teenager navigating school, deadlines, and whatever life throws her way next. When she’s not baking something sweet or working on a craft project, she enjoys bringing ideas to life through design and creativity. Like everyone else, she continues to learn, grow, and make mistakes along the way. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
