A teenager’s brain is developing rapidly, and the pathways responsible for social status and peer acceptance are especially active. As a result, many teens feel as though they are constantly being watched and judged—as if they are standing on a stage. So how can they step off that stage? This talk explores two simple yet effective strategies to overcome that feeling and gain greater confidence in everyday life. Geraldin is an educational psychologist working as a school counselor. She empowers educators and school communities to cultivate flourishing environments that prioritize well-being, resilience, and meaningful growth. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
