Peeling Back the Final Layer: A Presidential Reflection | Anhitha Kakumani | TEDxCarnageMagnetMS

After an evening featuring 19 unique perspectives, TEDx President Anhitha Kakumani synthesizes the collective wisdom shared under the theme of "Layers." This closing address weaves together the diverse threads of the event, from the "lava cake" of human emotion to the "brushstrokes" of history, reflecting on what we learn when we finally look beneath the surface. Discover how a student-led community redefined identity, resilience, and innovation through one powerful, shared journey. Anhitha Kakumani is an 8th grader at Fred J. Carnage Middle School and the current President of the TEDx Carnage Middle School Club. Passionate about public speaking, leadership, and the arts, she has helped organize events and mentor fellow students. Anhitha also served as Secretary of the FCCLA Club, is a National Finalist in FCCLA and FBLA, and a North Carolina State Topper in FCCLA. She has earned recognition in PMUN, the iCode Hackathon, and interschool oratory competitions, and is a member of the Science Olympiad team. Beyond school, she practices Kuchipudi dance, plays piano, and develops apps for causes like agriculture and education. Dedicated to empowering others, Anhitha hopes to create a positive impact in her community and beyond.
