6th grader Shruti L Kesav explores how nature’s slow transformations, like carbon turning into diamonds, mirror our own personal growth. By reflecting on her first impressions of others and her own struggles with failure, she reveals that the most important layers are the ones we can't see immediately. Learn why patience and curiosity are essential for uncovering the full story. Shruti L Kesav is a 6th grader at Carnage Magnet Middle School who loves helping people and has a strong passion for pets. She hopes to save as many animals as possible in her lifetime and enjoys advocating for animal rescues while spreading kindness, which inspires her TEDx talks. She grew up surrounded by rescue animals, and their personalities and kindness continue to inspire her every day. In her free time, Shruti enjoys playing volleyball and baking.
