The debate around social media often seems divided into two sides: those who believe it is inherently destructive, and those who think it is beneficial. But what if both sides are missing the bigger picture? The truth is that social media is neither good nor bad on its own—it depends on how we use it. Sharlene is a junior high school student who enjoys expressing her ideas through writing and public speaking. As she continues to develop these passions, she has earned several notable achievements, including a Gold Award in ICAS Writing 2025. Beyond writing, she enjoys learning about science and often spends her free time reading or working on her own writing projects.
