Cancer took my hair, but it never took my hope. In this deeply personal talk, I share how choosing positivity, trusting God, and embracing pain as a path to growth helped me overcome not only cancer but also the fear of repeating my family's tragic history. Through my journey, I invite others to discover that while we cannot choose our adversity, we can always choose how we face it. Rinda Koban is a junior high school English teacher with years of teaching experience. As a cancer survivor, she is deeply grateful for the second chance at life she has been given. Outside the classroom, she enjoys fangirling over her favorite K-pop group, and loves attending their concerts whenever she can. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
