In this one I’m heading over to Stonham Barns Bike Night on the Triumph Thruxton 1200RS — the Bike With No Name — and having a proper natter about why these meets matter. The big thing hanging over it is the reality that there aren’t many of these videos left from me: I’ve only got three more planned, and with the threat of closure it could be the end of it altogether. As far as I know it’s rumoured there’s a fighting chance the place carries on, and I genuinely hope it does. Bike nights like Stonham aren’t just about turning up, looking at shiny metal and going home. They’re one of the easiest ways to meet like-minded people, talk bikes, talk life, and just get your head straight for a bit — simple as that. And the practical side is massive too: if you’ve got a problem with your bike, there’s almost always someone there who’s seen it before and can point you in the right direction. I also give you the usual pointers on where to find me and share photos and memories, because these nights are built on the people who turn up and keep them alive.
