In this one I finally get some proper seat time on the CF-Moto 450MT, because everyone’s been banging on about it and I wanted to see what the hype is actually about. Conditions were spot on for a real-world test too: rain, more rain, and that lovely little bit of mud that turns “a quick lane” into a proper check of balance, brakes, and throttle control. I take it on-road first, then I deliberately point it away from the tarmac and down backroads and dirt tracks to see if it’s genuinely an adventure bike or just looks like one. I chat through the bits that matter when you’re riding year-round: how confidence-inspiring it feels when the surface turns greasy, how manageable the weight is, and whether the tech is useful or just a gimmick. On paper it’s got the right ingredients—21/18 spoked wheels, switchable traction control and rear ABS, and decent KYB suspension travel—so the question is whether it all works as a package. The takeaway is simple: I’m looking at value, real usability, and how easy it is to live with when the weather’s doing its worst, not just how it looks in a showroom.
