In this video, I’m giving you a Vibe Coding 101 class—basically 80% of the basics in about 12 minutes. The big idea is simple: building software isn’t what it used to be. Instead of writing syntax (HTML, Python, etc.), you describe what you want in plain English and an AI agent translates that into runnable code, builds the project end-to-end, and then refines it based on your feedback. It’s a mindset shift from “how do I code this?” to “do I want to do this?” I walk you step-by-step through building a personal portfolio website using Lovable. I upload my resume, ask for specific sections (bio, project cards, contact form), and show you how the tool “thinks,” plans, and generates the site. Then I iterate—checking mobile responsiveness, asking for bigger text on mobile, and talking through how you can keep refining in a loop (describe → test → refine → repeat). I also publish the site live so you can see how fast this goes from idea to a real URL. Finally, I zoom out: vibe coding is going to create a new wave of startups because prototyping is now accessible to basically anyone with a clear vision and good prompts. But I’m also very honest about the limitations—scaling and operationalizing still requires real systems thinking, architecture, and fundamentals. These tools won’t replace strong engineers; they’ll make the best builders 10x faster.
