The PERFECT REP Ares 2.0 Setup?

The REP Fitness Smith Machine Attachment is absurdly overpriced… …and I absolutely love it. The thing is unbelievably smooth. Genuinely commercial-grade smooth. I use it constantly for calf raises, shoulder presses, and wider-stance squats where I really want to push toward failure without worrying about a spotter. That’s the beauty of having a Smith machine in a home gym: you can train HARD while training alone. Are there compromises? Sure. The front-mounted setup can occasionally interfere with the Ares 2.0 trolleys depending on plate placement, but honestly, it’s a mild annoyance more than anything.
