About This Video

In this video I show you my exact 2024 setup to livestream to YouTube Shorts from a PC or Mac using OBS plus Aitum Vertical and Aitum Multi. The big shortcut is this: install OBS, then install Aitum Vertical, then Aitum Multi—don’t even open OBS until the plugins are installed so everything shows up properly in your docks. After that, I create a fresh Scene Collection and Profile for “YouTube Shorts + landscape,” run the Auto-Config Wizard, and (crucially) I uncheck “estimate bitrate” and set my bitrate to around 6,000–8,000 for the landscape profile. From there I build two simple vertical scenes: a full-screen camera scene, and a “computer display” layout where the bottom 2/3 is Display Capture and the top 1/3 is my camera. I also set up audio properly (desktop + mic) and add Noise Suppression with RNNoise to cut out AC/fan noise. Finally, I walk through Aitum Multi to add a YouTube Shorts output and generate a stream key the right way—by scheduling a stream in YouTube Studio so you can reuse the same stream settings. One important correction: your stream key doesn’t stay the same each time, so you’ll copy a new one per scheduled stream.
