In this setup shortcut, I walk you through getting StreamElements SE.Live installed and working inside OBS so you can stream to Twitch fast. The big thing I want you to do first: close OBS before you download anything. Then you grab SE.Live from the StreamElements site, install it, open OBS, and log in with Twitch. You may get prompted to activate the bot (do it), and you’ll see new StreamElements docks added—these can be dragged and resized so your layout feels clean. After that, I set up a proper “basic Twitch stream” the right way: create a new Profile, run the Auto-Config Wizard, optimize for streaming at 1920x1080/60, and connect your Twitch account. I prefer hardware encoding, and I set bitrate to 6,000 as a solid Twitch baseline. Then I create a new Scene Collection, add Display Capture, add a camera (and set custom resolution/FPS for the best quality your camera supports), and finally set Desktop Audio + Mic in Settings. My favorite quick win is adding Noise Suppression on your mic—RNNoise is usually perfect, and it kills fan/AC noise instantly. At that point, SE.Live is ready and you can hit Start Streaming, and in the next step you’d add StreamElements alerts.
