About This Video

The Ray-Ban Meta 22.0 update just launched, and in this video I’m testing it on both my Gen 1 and Gen 2 glasses to show you exactly what changed, what got fixed, and what might still be missing. I start by checking a super annoying Gen 1 bug from the last update—if you switched to 1080p/60, you could get stuck there and the settings basically wouldn’t respond. After testing it again in the Meta AI app, it looks like 22.0 finally fixes it, which is a huge relief if you actually care about swapping frame rate and stabilization without the app glitching out. Then I break down the biggest new feature for everyone: detailed responses now working with Live AI. Live AI already lets Meta “see” what I’m looking at and answer conversationally without me awkwardly saying “Hey Meta,” and now it can give more descriptive answers (especially useful in accessibility scenarios). I also cover conversation focus, which honestly shocked me—once I tested it in a normal social setting, it worked like a hearing aid in glasses by amplifying whoever I’m looking at. I wrap with what’s still disappointing: Gen 2 still doesn’t have livestreaming to Instagram/Facebook, while Gen 1 does. And finally, Dutch language support is rolling out, plus I talk briefly about what updates could be coming next.
