About This Video

In this video I’m walking you through my personal Pedalboard #1—the board I lean on for about 90% of my gigs and shows. It’s built to cover a lot of ground without overthinking it: hard rock, country, rock, southern rock, blues, Americana… you get the idea. Most of these pedals I’ve had for years, and every now and then I’ll rotate one or two, but this lineup is what consistently gets the job done live and in the studio. I run a practical chain that starts with a GoGo Tuner, then hits the classics and workhorses: MXR Phase 90 for that familiar swirl, an Xotic EP Booster for feel and push, and a Boss Blues Driver with the Keeley mod when I need that blues-rock drive that still stays musical. I’ve also got a Morley buffer/booster in the mix, plus a few ambience options (Love reverb, Donner chorus-echo, and a DemonFX reverb-delay workstation) so I can go from tight and dry to big and spacious fast. Power and reliability matter, so I’m using a TrueTone 1-Spot Pro supply on a Pedaltrain board with Lava and Monster cable. And the whole rig pairs great with my 1970 Fender Princeton Reverb 1x10 (Todd Sharp mod) loaded with an Eminence Red Coat Ram-Rod speaker—small amp, big results.
