In this video I’m digging into my personal guitar collection—part 1—and showing seven guitars that cover a big chunk of what I actually use. This isn’t a “look what I own” thing as much as it is a real rundown of instruments that earn their keep for live playing and studio sessions. I’ve always felt each guitar has its own flavor and character—different feel, different response, different voice—and that’s why I keep a variety around. I walk through a 2020 Sawtooth Relic Tele, a 2018 Vintage Guitars Strat (Thomas Blug model), a 2000 Gretsch 6120 with a Bigsby, a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard, a 1994 Fender USA Custom Flame Tele, a 2004 Stonetree “Roscoe” model Tele, and a 2022 Vintage VSA-500 (335 style). The big takeaway is simple: these are true works of art, but they’re made to be played. Every one of these guitars has a purpose in my blues-rock world—whether I need snap and bite, thick sustain, hollowbody twang, or that semi-hollow warmth.
