Hidden Gems of California: Alabama Hills & Camping at Silver Lake June Lake | Fall Travel Vlog

Since getting a taste of how beautiful the Eastern Sierras was last year, I was determined to explore the other parts. This was going to be my "perfect" itinerary: Drive north from Los Angeles County to Hwy 395 for 3 hours to reach our first stop (Alabama Hills Scenic Area), then we’d continue north and make additional scenic stops before reaching our campsite at June Lake for the night. The next day we would continue our trip to Yosemite National Park. But it never goes according to plan 😅 I didn't expect much from Alabama Hills before we got there- I mostly wanted to see fall colors on this trip, and how different could this place be from the rock formations at Joshua Tree NP? But after getting there, its magical blend of rugged beauty and out-worldly charm proved me wrong. So wrong. The landscape was OUT of this world and overwhelmingly exceeded my expectations. There was a different scene through every turn. I can't wait for the next opportunity to head back there and check out other spots on my wish list too 🤩 Thanks for watching my video!
