The holiday season is my favorite time to visit Disneyland. It's the most magical time to visit and extra festive everywhere. But since moving away, I haven't been back since. A lot has changed with the new Star Wars land and Avengers campus so I was especially excited to go this year! On top of that, I get to go with the Canon R6 and the Sony A7s3! Even though my mission of the day was to explore Star Wars land, it's always a "must" to go on the classic rides. They just never get old. Once I saw the wait-time for Rise of the Resistance shorter than 120 minutes, we power walked straight to Star Wars land. The entire land was so beautiful. I loved the set, the atmosphere, the sound design. The only thing I wish they had was different aliens walking around. Everywhere we went was cinematic so we basically spent most of our time there just exploring the space and filming. One thing I didn't particularly enjoy was how we had to order most of the food through the Disney app. I actually lost my phone at one point that day so it was annoying when it came to picking up our food. With Disney's new system, you first have to order food ahead of time in your desired timeframe in the app, second let them know that you were close by, then finally they'll notify you within the app that your order is ready for pick up. Some places also didn't have clear signage for mobile order pick up so it was all a bit confusing. We went right back to Star Wars land when it started getting darker. We were very excited to see the space at night and it did not disappoint! We heard people raving about Oga's Cantina so we thought we might as well check it out. It was fun and all but I think I would rather spend my time elsewhere next time. Overall, I had SOOO much fun that day. Star Wars land definitely exceeded my expectations. We were both extremely tired since we already went to Adventure the day before so sadly, I didn't reach any of my ambitious goals of going on any ride twice 🤣 In terms of the R6, it definitely struggled a bit in low light since my 35mm was extra slow in low light, and I really hated changing the lens back and forth. We tried to use the 24mm-105mm a few times but f4 was just too dark for the beautiful ambient lighting in the park. I just got the rf 24mm-70mm f2.8 so we'll be ready the next time we go 😗 I hope you enjoyed seeing how Disneyland is like during the holidays! Thanks for watching my video!
