Big Sur: The Perfect Weekend Camping Trip

Weekend getaway camping trip at the beautiful Pfeiffer Big Sur Campground- it's a dream come true! Growing up, I was never an outdoorsy kind of person. I squirm from seeing bugs and like keeping my stuff clean. But recently I fell in love with the idea that maybe, just maybe, I can be one of those cool outdoorsy people too. I had the opportunity to go camping for the first time with some experienced campers last year and it showed me it was possible. Coincidentally exactly one year later, I was able to book a campsite at one of my wishlist locations- Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park! It was our first time camping on our own, and it also happened to be the new moon that night so I was excited to finally try astrophotography with the rf 16mm. After watching tons of camping reels and vibey camping videos, I was deeply inspired by the lifestyle. We could catch more sunrises and experience the beautiful backcountry through camping. Maybe one day I can even show my family that camping can be fun (maybe we start with glamping? lol). I started a list of all the places I'd love to camp at… and of course, it would be nice to build up my camping gear to be like those cool creators too 😝 Although our plan to stargaze and shoot the milky way was veered off course by the fog that rolled in, just quietly hanging by the bonfire was still healing and enjoyable.
