About This Video

In this video, I break down where SEO is going in 2026 and beyond—and I do it in a practical way that’s easy to apply. For the last 20 years, SEO was mostly about ranking “blue links.” But that interface is fading fast, replaced by AI Overviews and AI Mode experiences where the user gets an answer first and links are secondary (or barely there). The real goal now isn’t “rank top 10,” it’s: get Google AI, ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI engines to recommend your business. I explain AI SEO (aka LLM SEO) in two phases: (1) teach AI about your brand and (2) let AI recommend you. You can’t control the second part much, but you have a lot of control over the first part. The core mechanism is still E-E-A-T (expertise, authority, trust): your site content shows expertise, but authority and trust come from outside signals—mentions, recognition, and real publicity. Keyword research and on-page SEO are still ~95% the same, just less obsessed with exact keywords and more focused on broad topic coverage and clear structure. The biggest change is off-page SEO: old spammy link-building doesn’t work, and the winners are the brands that earn legitimate attention, press, and reputation—because AI engines tend to overcorrect toward fame and authority.
