Sunex is bringing a whole plethora of new pneumatic power tools, and in this video I walk through what’s new, what each one is for, and what you’re paying for. Most of these are in that half-horsepower class, which is exactly where I like pneumatic tools to be for shop work—still compact and nimble, but with enough power to actually get things done. Across the lineup you’ll see a consistent setup: rubber overmold on the bodies, a dead-man/paddle-style trigger, and a big rear dial so you can easily control speed. Everything is rated at 90 PSI and Sunex backs these with a 1-year warranty. I cover the die grinder trio (straight, 90°, and 115°) and why that 115° head can get you into spots a 90° won’t—especially for wire brushes and pads. Then we get into specialty cutters: a 3-inch cut-off tool (my pro tip: toss the included wheel and grab a better blade from a welding supply store), an air nibbler for up to 18-gauge, and an air metal shear for cleaner straight cuts. I also show the SX7200 geared pneumatic reciprocating saw, and I was glad to see it takes standard recip blades plus smaller body-style blades with tool-free swaps.
