Today we are peeling it back and firing up the tractor tiller to see if we have perfect planting soil. Spring planting is finally here at Sheraton Park Farms! Before we can get a single seed in the ground, we have to make sure our garden beds are prepped, weed-free, and ready to grow. Last year, we laid down a massive tarp over a new garden area to naturally smother out the grass and weeds. In today's video, we are finally peeling back that tarp to reveal what is underneath. Did the occultation method actually work? Once the tarp is off, we are hooking up the heavy-duty tiller to the tractor to break up the soil. We are running the tiller through both our brand new garden spot and last year's established beds. The results are incredibly satisfying! We are turning dead weeds and compacted dirt into beautiful, fluffy soil that is in absolutely perfect shape for our spring crops. In this video, you will see: The Tarp Reveal: Peeling back a year-old tarp to see the weed kill. Tractor Tilling: Putting the tractor and tiller to work in the dirt. Garden Prep: Getting last year's beds ready for a new season. Perfect Soil: The satisfying transformation from weeds to plant-ready beds. Spring is here, and it’s time to get the garden ready for planting. In today’s video, we’re preparing two garden areas for the upcoming growing season. One of these areas was covered with a tarp last year to naturally kill grass and weeds—and now it’s time to see how well that method worked. We remove the tarp, check the soil condition, and run the tiller through the area to prepare it for planting. We also revisit last year’s garden space and work it up with the tractor-mounted tiller to get everything ready for the new season. Both areas turned out better than expected, and this method has become one of the easiest ways we’ve found to simplify garden prep without chemicals. In this video you’ll see: • Removing a tarp used for weed control • Results of long-term tarp (silage tarp) gardening method • Tilling garden beds with a tractor-mounted tiller • Preparing soil for spring planting • Comparing new and established garden areas • Simple techniques for easier garden prep If you’re planning a garden this year and looking for ways to reduce weeds and make preparation easier, this method might be worth trying. #GardenPrep #HomesteadGarden #Tilling #SpringGarden #NoTill #WeedControl #HomesteadLife #TractorWork #GrowingFood #SheratonParkFarms #SpringPlanting #GardenPrep #TractorTiller #Occultation #MarketGarden #Homesteading #SoilBuilding #RegenerativeAg Become a Patron: www.patreon.com/SheratonPark Consulting Services: https://www.sheratonparkfarms.com/far... ‪Amazon Affiliate Link: https://amzn.to/3yRoENF Connect with us on social media: www.sheratonparkfarms.com www.facebook.com/sheratonparkfarms www.instagram.com/sheratonparkfarms Some links may be affiliate meaning we earn a commission from a purchase using the link
