Avoid spraying in the eyes. It is a massive moving day on the farm, but the real battle is happening behind the scenes against pasture pests. In today’s video, Chuck and Saundra are tag-teaming the rotational grazing schedule to get our animals onto fresh, lush pasture. Chuck gets to work building a brand-new paddock setup for the beef cattle herd, while Saundra constructs a secure new perimeter using our electric poultry netting fence. Once the infrastructure is ready, Saundra hooks up the side-by-side to relocate our mobile chicken coop—the eggmobile—to its fresh paddock. Then, we team up for a dynamic cattle drive to transition the cows into their new grass paddock. But moving them is only half the battle. After dealing with a recent outbreak of pinkeye in a couple of our cows, we had to take aggressive action. Flies are not only incredibly bothersome to livestock, but they are the primary spreaders of pinkeye in cattle herds. At the end of the day, Chuck sits down to give a health update on the treated cows and shares the farm’s exact DIY homemade fly spray recipe. Plus, he breaks down his brand-new, stress-free method for applying the spray to the cows out on pasture. If you want to keep your livestock healthy, save money on farm supplies, and master rotational grazing, this episode is for you! 👉 Don't forget to LIKE this video to help support the channel and SUBSCRIBE for more real farm updates!
