Hey sweet friends! In this Christmas Decorate With Me (2025) Part 3, I’m decorating our family room for Christmas and bringing in all the fun, joy, and festiveness. My theme is traditional with a winter wonderland twist—so traditional but a little whimsical. I start by swapping out the Halloween photos in my frames for our Christmas family pictures, then I move into cozy updates like changing pillow covers and styling the entertainment center with my candy Christmas tree, gingerbread house, and garland on the fireplace. I also share a real-life mom/home update: we’ve had a water leak in our laundry room, so I used a tension rod and a Christmas curtain to cover the mess because seeing it every day was giving me anxiety. From there, I work on the banister garland (and yes, flocked garland makes a mess at first—I vacuumed right after). The next day, I tackle my “magic forest” fireplace mantel with lots of lit trees, deer, and a starburst light hung from the ceiling using command strips (with the battery door facing down so it’s easy to change). Finally, Joseph helps me decorate the family room tree.
