About This Video

In this video, I’m revisiting the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 a full three years later to see if it’s still worth owning (or buying) in 2026. I go over what’s held up, what’s aged, and what I’d change if Lenovo handed me a revision today. Externally, mine still looks basically pristine—no bumps, bruises, or anything major—and that’s not by accident. I’ve been protecting it with the fabric screen layer and a sleeve when I travel, and it’s paid off. On the day-to-day experience side, the keyboard is still incredible—tactile, reliable, and honestly a joy to type on. The trackpad is only okay (it’s overly sensitive for me), but since it’s a gaming laptop, I’m using a mouse anyway. The display looks great in darker environments with good colors and high refresh rate, but brightness is still the big weakness—golden hour lighting makes it genuinely tough to see. Performance is still solid for what it is: a budget gaming laptop that can game, record, and stream (especially after my RAM upgrade). My main practical complaints are limited storage at 512GB, mediocre battery life, and the fact that I really wish there was one more USB-A port.
