About This Video

In this full review, I break down what actually makes a great gaming laptop—great specs, a great build, and a great price—and why the Gigabyte Aero X16 fits that bill. I go over the external design first: a 16-inch metal slate gray chassis with a subtle reflective Gigabyte logo that looks premium without screaming “gamer.” It’s relatively light for the size, super portable, and the port selection is genuinely fantastic with plenty of USB for accessories. I also talk about how I carry mine in a sleeve to keep it protected from weather and everyday bumps. Then I get into the parts you actually care about: the display, keyboard/trackpad, and real-world performance. The high-res, high-refresh screen is snappy and looks great (especially in darker rooms), and the keyboard feels durable with a satisfying tactile bump—my main gripe is the lack of a number pad. Trackpad-wise, it’s surprisingly MacBook-like: it just works. Performance has been excellent after the initial “new laptop slow” phase, and I share gaming benchmarks plus my month-long experience with heat, fan noise, and battery life. It’s not perfect, but the flaws are workable—and for the price, I’m impressed.
