This video is my unboxing and first impressions of the Apple Watch Series 11 (2025), and I’m starting from a pretty honest place: I’m not really a fitness or smartwatch kind of guy. I picked up the jet black aluminum model (retails at $400), and right away I’ll say it—this thing looks great with the matching band, and the 42mm size ended up fitting me like a glove. I was a little iffy on sizing at first, but I’m glad I didn’t just default to “biggest is best.” After setup (and yes, it immediately wanted me to update my phone), I snapped on a case and took it out for a quick run, then followed up with an ab workout. Both workouts tracked heart rate and calories burned accurately, so two thumbs up there. As for what’s new, I call Series 11 a modest upgrade over Series 10—better battery life, improved durability, and 5G potential (I didn’t buy the 5G version). The big things I’m watching going forward are real-world battery life and the new sleep score feature in the latest watchOS, because I genuinely want to see what I’m deficient in health-wise and how I can improve. Also, surprisingly, it helped keep me off my phone even more, which I didn’t expect.
