We leave Rotorua hoping to finally visit Hobbiton after missing out the first time, but every ticket is sold out and even turning up in person doesn’t help. So instead, we point Storm toward the Coromandel Peninsula for our second attempt at riding one of New Zealand’s most famous coastal roads in the dry. It rains again. From there, we continue north toward Auckland as the reality of leaving New Zealand starts setting in.
