Most riders stick to the main sealed road and pass straight through the famous tunnel, but we turned off onto the rougher forgotten backroads instead. Overgrown tunnels, loose gravel, remote forest tracks, and roads that feel completely cut off from the modern world. This turned into one of those rides where you constantly stop, look around, and wonder how more people don’t know this exists.
