S06 EP46 | Arthur’s Pass Was a Complete Disaster Arthur’s Pass is often called one of the best drives in New Zealand… and somehow we picked the worst possible day to cross it. In this episode of our round the world motorcycle journey, we leave the West Coast and ride deep into the Southern Alps through heavy rain, strong crosswinds, slippery roads and freezing temperatures as we attempt to cross the famous Arthur’s Pass on our BMW R1300 GSA. With constant rain, low visibility and difficult riding conditions, this quickly became one of the toughest weather days we’ve faced in New Zealand so far. Thankfully our motorcycle wet weather riding gear was properly put to the test.
