In this episode of our round the world motorcycle journey, we ride through Nelson, Takaka and the beautiful roads surrounding Kaiteriteri and Sandy Bay, trying to reach Split Apple Rock and one of New Zealand’s most iconic coastal attractions. But travel rarely goes to plan. What started as a simple ride quickly turned into one of those real overland travel days that every adventure rider, road tripper and traveller will recognise. Closed roads, changed plans, long detours and figuring it out as we go.
