S06 EP49 | Tested Daily on a Ride Around the World Our final ride across New Zealand’s South Island takes us from the city of Nelson to the remote French Pass, riding our fully loaded BMW R1300 GSA through some of the most isolated coastal roads in the Marlborough Sounds. With gravel tracks, winding mountain roads, hidden bays and tiny settlements at the edge of the country, this ride felt like reaching the end of the world. After exploring French Pass, we continue along the legendary Queen Charlotte Drive towards Picton, taking in one last ride through the South Island before boarding the ferry north. This is real long-distance motorcycle travel after more than 50,000km of riding around the world. No support vehicles, no staged moments, just daily life on the road as we continue our RTW motorcycle adventure two-up on the BMW R1300 GSA. If you’re planning a New Zealand motorcycle trip, South Island road trip, campervan adventure or searching for the best scenic drives in New Zealand, French Pass and Queen Charlotte Drive are routes that absolutely deserve a place on your list. 🛒 Our Travel Shop: Explore our travel-tested gear & stickers: https://seanandemilytravels.com/shop 🗺️ Navigation App – calimoto: Get a 30-day free trial ➤ Use code: S&E30 Get 10% off yearly plans ➤ Use code: S&E10 Start here: https://linktr.ee/calimoto_SeanandEmily 🛟 Travel Safety – Protected by Global Rescue: Worldwide emergency rescue, evacuation, and medical support for overlanders:
