The ICF core competencies are the guidelines within which coaches operate in an ethical way and they are designed to: - promote standardisation and increase credibility - support professional growth - set the foundations for credentialing - provide guidance for training and development In 2025 there were some updates to the core competencies and in this video I share what these were and the impact it will have on the coaching community. As the founder and CEO of Optimus Coach Academy which runs ICF accredited coach training programs we're always wanting to be on the forefront of change and to ensure that our programs and learning experiences tie to the ICF core competencies.
