This is going beyond "hastag authentic" and really getting to know who you are as a person and a coach. One of the reasons people rate coaching highly is due to the relationship between them and their coach and the more that you show up as you the more you can build a deeper connection which strengthens trust and safety and coaching presence. This doesn't mean we need to share everything about ourselves it means being able to connect deeply with our own identity through doing "the work" on ourselves then showing up for our clients as that person. For me it meant getting rid of the "shoulds" that I saw on social media and the comparison and building relationships based on trust, empathy, compassion and respect. It meant becoming comfortable with who I was and being clear on who I wanted to become and letting go of shame so I was able to hold space for others. The more that I embraced my whole self the more I attracted my dream clients who I've forged successful relationships with and supported to achieve great things: this isn't about being something you aren't it's about starting with you.
