Set in a dystopian future where the economy has collapsed and society is controlled through propaganda, the story follows Ben Richards, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, a wrongfully accused man forced to participate in a deadly televised game show. In the show, convicted criminals must evade armed “stalkers” in a gladiator-style battle for survival, broadcast as entertainment to distract the masses.
