After being mortally wounded in battle, Connor discovers he cannot die and is mentored by fellow immortal Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, played by Sean Connery. The story shifts between medieval Scotland and modern-day New York City, where Connor lives under an alias and is drawn into a centuries-old conflict known as The Game, in which immortals battle each other until only one remains. The film explores themes of immortality, fate, love, and isolation, focusing on the emotional cost of living forever while watching loved ones age and die. Connor’s primary enemy is the Kurgan, a brutal and sadistic immortal portrayed by Clancy Brown, who seeks ultimate power by killing the remaining immortals. Their rivalry spans centuries, culminating in a final confrontation where the winner will gain the Prize, a mysterious reward granting vast knowledge and influence over humanity.
