Does Balancing RC Drift Tires Make You Faster?

In the world of full-size cars, a balanced wheel helps with traction. But does that scale down to RC drifting? In this video, I use the SkyRC tire balancer to put this theory to the ultimate test. I started by testing the balance of wheels I’ve previously benchmarked as "fast" versus "slow" to see if I could see a difference. I then purposefully made a set of wheels imbalanced and tested it on-track to see if lap times and "feel" actually changed.
