I've learned some good lessons from this. We drove to the pine forest of Maria near Velez Rubio, Spain to get some nice aerial footage of my Mavic Air flying over the car whilst driving through the dirt tracks of the forest. There were snow weather predictions too, so I thought this would make a great setting for some scenic flights with the nearby mountains and forest.. However after the initial panic nervousness of flying from a moving car for the first time over densely wooded forest, I ignored the low battery warnings. This meant that at the point where I was about to land the drone near the car, 2 or 3 kilometers from where we took off, the drone suddenly wanted to return to home RTH. I cancelled this command twice, hoping to simply land it where I was standing instead, but then with my clumsy fingers and the mobile screen buttons being so small, I then lost the DJI drone app off my screen just as the drone went into RTH mode again. I wasn't sure if I had cancelled this command or if it was flying out across the forest until the battery failed and it crashed. At this point I had no signal, no video FPV view and no DJI app on my phone. I thought ID LOST MT DRONE ! So panicking, we jumped in the car, drove back through the forest to where the drone took off and luckily there it was sitting on the ground waiting to be picked up... !!! Lessons learnt:- Do not ignore low battery warnings. Set a good RTH height to avoid high obstacles. Consider re-setting the RTH point to be where the controller is and not where it took off.
