It’s halfway through 2025 and I had to do something about my desk setup because it was honestly a mess—cables hanging everywhere, power strips routing all weird, and just a bunch of tech piled up in my parents’ basement. In this video I finally swap my old discontinued IKEA desk for a clean, minimal white standing desk, and I walk you through the whole vlog-style process: what materials you actually need, what my current setup looked like, unboxing, tearing the old desk down, building the new one, and then adding all my peripherals back in. The biggest glow-up here is cable management. I show exactly how I hid basically everything using a tray, adhesive clips, sleeves, zip ties, and even Gorilla mounting tape (yes, I mounted my subwoofer under the desk and cranked the volume—so far it hasn’t dropped). I also go over why I’m digging the Vernal Spaces desk: it’s stable, reinforced, smooth on the edges, has a simple keypad with presets, and it can handle a heavy setup (monitor arm, desktop PC, the whole thing).
