Rode Wireless ME Microphone Review

The Rode Wireless ME microphone, ideal for content creation, vlogging, and more, is a pretty solid, beginner friendly piece of equipment. USB-C rechargeable, just plug the receiver (RX) into your phone or camera, hold the receiver and transmitter together (TX), and press and hold the power buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Boom, devices paired, ready to go. This ultra-compact wireless mic set comes with a carrying pouch, wind screens, and a few cords to get you going. Up to 100m range, you'll be set for both indoor and outdoor filming. Personally, I've used these mostly indoor when I'm away from my desk and enjoy the native sound quality. Give the gain a boost or control additional settings by downloading the Rode Central app. Note, the app only works when the receiver is plugged in, and you can control the transmitter from the app when it's paired. Super cool feature is the receiver's built-in "ME" mic. Turn this on from the app and your cameraman's audio can now be captured in addition to the transmitter mic. Choose to record stereo or mono channels through the app. Particularly useful if you're conducting an interview or honestly, if the transmitter runs out of battery and you're in a pinch, you can just turn on the ME mic and keep going.
